How to get to sleep on christmas eve?

I know what it can be like on christmas eve. I experience it every year, so here are some tips which have worked for me and hopefully will for you too!

STEP 1 
 Before bedtime take a bath or a shower to kill time, it will keep you calm and relax you more. But make sure you get dry before bed because you don't want to go to bed all damp and soggy.





STEP 2
 Drink warm milk. The milk provides calcium, magnesium, and L-tryptophan, which can help you sleep. You can also try hot herbal tea; it is very soothing and calming to drink. To lighten the taste up a bit maybe have a cookie as well, they always go well together!




STEP 3
Relax! If you are just jumping up and down and feeling hyperactive, you need to calm down; you're only feeding a build-up of excitement that it'll be hard to come down from. Try taking a hot bath. Relax and just close your eyes. Squirt bath toys at imaginary targets - anything to keep you relaxing in the bath. 






STEP 4

Get into a comfortable sleeping position. Try and stay still, don't move at all and you will become tired. This is important for anytime you try to get to sleep. 


















STEP 5

Try not to think about Christmas. It may be hard, but try it! Think of a best friend or think of your favorite song, video game, etc. Maybe write a song, a poem or a play.
